Quotes Around the Holidays

With the feeling of the holiday spirit in the air - sharing some of my favorite Christmas quotes and sayings:

*****

Instead of being a time of unusual behavior, Christmas is perhaps the only time in the year when people can obey their natural impulses and express their true sentiments without feeling self-conscious and, perhaps, foolish.  Christmas, in short, is about the only chance a man has to be himself.
By Francis C. Farley

What is Christmas?  It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future.  It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace.
By Agnes M. Pahro

If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts, wouldn't it be a Merry Christmas?
By Don Meredith

The warmth and joy of Christmas, brings us closer to each other.

He who has not Christmas in his heart will never find it under a tree.

Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind.
To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas.

For Christmas comes but once a year

At Christmas
A man is at his finest towards the finish of the year;
He is almost what he should be when the Christmas season's here;
Then he's thinking more of others than he's thought the months before,
And the laughter of his children is a joy worth toiling for.
He is less a selfish creature than at any other time;
When the Christmas spirit rules him he comes close to the sublime...
By Edgar Guest

It is good to be children sometimes,
 and never better than at Christmas when its mighty Founder was a child Himself.
By Charles Dickens

And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so?  It came without ribbons.  It came without tags.  It came without packages, boxes or bags.  And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore.  Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before.  What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.
By Dr Seuss

Christmas gift suggestions:
To your enemy, forgiveness.  To an opponent, tolerance.
  To a friend, your heart.  To a customer, service.
  To all, charity.  To every child, a good example.
To yourself, respect.

Just About Quotes

There is just something special about reading quotes. They can make your day brighter or even make you laugh. Some bring back the best memories ever, but there are also the ones that bring sadness and make you want to cry. Always seek the quotes that bring a positive outlook to your day.

My favorite quotes are the ones that empower and inspire me to make my day a better one. Then, I have to admit, I really enjoy the quotes that make me laugh because it brings a healing emotionally and internally that helps me through those tough and overwhelming times.

With so many responsibilities in life, living in this busy world, we need to have positive and empowering words in the day-to-day adventure that we take on.

Give me a quote for the day that connects with my feelings, then my boost, (having coffee and a quote) has begun. We all have different upbringings and experiences that open up each of our worlds in an individual way.

I will share some of my favorite quotes with all and hope someone else will be able to find a connection with some of them. There are a lot of quotes that most people have heard, and hopefully I will be able to share some new ones that will have a positive effect in the life of others.

Feel free to send me quotes that you would like to have me post and share. Please keep them G-Rated, because that’s the way I prefer. I will be updating and revising from time to time, so happy quotes to all.
